OPINION: The Only Way I Can Accept Finidi George’s Resignation

I find myself in a state of utmost joy following the resignation of Finidi George as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles. Watching his two recent friendly matches against Ghana and Malawi left me with a deep conviction: Finidi George was not the man to lead our national team. His disdainful remarks, particularly his assertion that formations were irrelevant to winning games, were a direct insult to Nigerian football fans like myself who cherish the beautiful game.

As a fervent supporter of football done right, I have been a vocal advocate for his removal or replacement. Therefore, the news of his departure has brought me immense satisfaction. It is crucial now that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) looks to appoint a foreign coach. We cannot afford to miss consecutive World Cups. Football is not just a sport in Nigeria; it is a unifying force, something that binds us together as a nation.

For me to fully accept Finidi George’s resignation, however, there are conditions. Perhaps symbolically, he should have his beard shaved and be put under arrest until Nigeria secures its qualification for the World Cup. His tenure has been nothing short of disastrous, and it is imperative that he is held accountable for the harm he has caused.

Moving forward, I extend my congratulations to all lovers of good football. It is now incumbent upon the NFF to diligently select a capable coach for the Super Eagles, someone who can restore our national pride on the footballing stage.

I am currently the most happiest man on earth following Finidi George’s Resignation as Super Eagles Head Coach .

After I watched his two friendly matches against Ghana and Malawi, I didn't need an angel to tell me that this man, Finidi George won't take Super Eagles anywhere.

This is a man who insulted Nigerians by saying he doesn't need any formation to win games and Nigerian fans shouldn't disturb him and should be allowed to do his job. What job exactly is he doing?? I felt insulted being a lover of good football and has been at the forefront of him sacked or replaced!.

I am happy extremely when I heard the news that the NFF is looking for a foreign coach. We cannot afford not to go to another World Cup back to back!!!. Nigeria is a football nation and it is the only thing that unites us.

The only way I can accept this man's resignation as Super Eagles Head Coach is if they can shave his bear bear and arrest him pending when Nigeria fully qualify for the world Cup. This man, Finidi George is a mess!.

I mean, this man has caused more harm than good for Nigerians and nobody should be allowed to start what he can't finish!.

Meanwhile, congratulations to lovers of good football and NFF should try to get a good coach for Super Eagles.
