Some consumers reported finding small metal pieces in their Tyson Fully Cooked Fun Nuggets in breading, prompting the recall.

Tyson Foods is recalling almost 30,000 pounds of one of its products, dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets, after some consumers reported finding small metal pieces, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said on Saturday.

The recall specifically pertains to 29-ounce plastic bags of the product officially named "Fully Cooked Fun Nuggets Breaded Shaped Chicken Patties," according to the FSIS announcement.

The contaminated nuggets were manufactured on September 5th and distributed to distributors across the U.S. in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

According to FSIS, there was one "minor oral injury," but no other reports of injuries or illnesses related to the consumption of the nuggets have been received.

FSIS is urging anyone who has these Fun Nuggets stored in their freezer to discard them and not consume them. The nugget packages can also be returned to the place of purchase, as stated by FSIS.
